Although maybe being able to specify a specific thing on the map you're looking for would be good (like "killa map reserve extracts" or "killa map customs stashes"). Being able to really quickly type a command and then click the map image is extremely convenient and I haven't personally experienced any issues with it. I have some friends I play with who have used the map command a lot, and it's really really useful to have when running multiple displays on a map you aren't intimately familiar with. It's very good and I've found it to be quite useful, especially for people who are struggling to learn map layouts, item values, and ammo differences. I've got some feedback for you since I've now been using it for the last couple of weeks. ** UPDATE 2:Item command has been updated, it now shows what hasn't been printed out.
